Sarangan Lake is located at the foot of Mt. Lawu, a stratovolcano on the
border of Central and East Java. Though serene from this angle, behind
me was bustling tourist activity, as where there are lakes in Java,
there are also people looking to swim, fish, ride boats, and more
commonly, take selfies. Still, from its elevated position, the lake is
blessed with fresh air and cool winds, both precious respites from city
life in the tropics.
